Our Vision

Founded in Vancouver by passionate vegan foodies, Rob Milne and his sons – Ben & Alex, Virtuous Pie was created to provide great-tasting food for our bodies and the planet.

Our design-centric restaurant spaces are built around the principle of creating a welcoming + inclusive space for individuals, groups and families. We seek to work with local artists + businesses to create spaces that feel like home for each of our neighbourhoods.

We believe in giving back to our local communities and organizations, which is why we dedicate a portion of revenue to like-minded charitable endeavours in each city we call home.

Innovation + surprise are at the core of our culinary efforts. From day one, we decided that we would take a handcrafted approach to our menus. Our hand-stretched dough, beloved plant-based cheese, and creamy small-batch ice creams are all created by our dedicated kitchen team in-house.

We seek to establish partnerships with local growers + suppliers whenever possible. We’re proud to offer locally brewed kombucha + craft beer on tap, as well as locally produced wine. Whether you need a quick bite for lunch or are looking to linger over dinner, we want you to eat well and feel good about what you eat.

Virtuous Pie is in our people. Everyday our restaurant team members bring the Virtuous Pie vision to life, whether it be in kitchen executing a special-order pizza, assisting a customer to select the perfect scoop for dessert, or by sharing their insights and knowledge with the head office team.

We’re dedicated to developing our people to grow alongside the company, from dishwashers to sous chefs. Our team members share our company vision and form the foundation of our success.

Unbelievably good. I have now tried the mushroom pasta, the alfredo pasta, the pesto pizza and the ceasar salad with chick*n. All amazing. My personal favourites were the mushroom pasta and the salad, unbelievably creamy and flavourful. Also love the presentation of the pasta in those small cast iron pots, really adds to the experience.The desserts are out of this world! With the brownie you get a scoop of very good vanilla ice cream. Consistencies are perfect, the warm brownie with the cold ice cream...incredible.The absolute main event however was the cannoli. They had an apple pie flavoured filling (they change the flavours up sometimes) and it was absolutely amazing. The crispy waffle with the creamy filling that absolutely melts in your mouth, it was absolutely delicious. It was the second time I've been back in three weeks and I'll be back soon for sure!

This great plant-based pizza spot in Cologne Germany was suggested to me by some friends. It more than met the expectations! The pizza was delish! The Mac & Cheese was great and the ice cream was super creamy and rich. The ambiance is fantastic and very welcoming. The staff was extremely friendly and great to chat with. I will frequent Virtuous Pie every time I visit Cologne Germany! Loved my experience here!

We had a lovely visit to Virtuous Pie. Upon planning our trip to Cologne I had seen Virtuous Pie on HappyCow and immediately knew I wanted to visit. The decor inside the restaurant was really nice and the food was great. We had the Little Italy Pizza and the Mac n Cheese. I forgot to take a picture because we couldn’t wait to try it! We then had the Cannoli for desert which we did manage to get a photo of, also delicious. We were served by one of the owners who was super friendly and made the experience all the more enjoyable! Definitely recommend.

There’s no other place of a vegan-glutenfree pizza in town and I am surprised positively that Cologne finally understood the new normal in foodie culture. Also most of the sweets are gluten-free like a carrot cake cannoli, espresso is also good! Good place to have a zoom meeting and a gluten-free option for lunch! Oh, and the camomile-lavender-Limonade is just great, thx for open up this place in Ihrefeld!

This is without a doubt the best vegan restaurant I have been to! We couldn’t help ourselves from ordering two appetizers, pizzas and two desserts.I especially loved the Himmel + Äd pizza and skillet cookie, but you can’t go wrong! They also have gluten free, soy free and nut free options.Everything, including the cheese and sauces, is made in house. We ate so much food but it didn’t leave us feeling heavy and tired. It was delicious and I’m looking forward to trying the other menu items soon ☺️
